SMS Consent & Opt-In

How Users Opt In

Lurk CFB collects explicit opt-in consent before sending any SMS messages. Users must take the following steps to receive text alerts:

1. Sign in to their Lurk CFB account and navigate to the Alerts page.
2. Enter their phone number in E.164 format (e.g., +15551234567).
3. Check the "Text me" consent toggle which is accompanied by the following disclosure:

   "By signing up via text, you agree to receive recurring recruiting alert messages from Lurk CFB at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. View our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service."

4. Click Save — the Save button is disabled until the consent checkbox is checked.

What Messages Are Sent

Users can configure two types of SMS alerts:

• Staff Follow Alerts — Notifications when a watched coaching staff member follows a new public profile.
• Threshold Alerts — Notifications when a recruit reaches a configured number of staff follows from a single organization.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the user's alert configuration. Users control how many staff members they watch and what thresholds trigger alerts. Typical users receive between 0 and 10 messages per week depending on their settings and recruiting activity.

Opt-Out Instructions

Users can opt out of SMS alerts at any time by:

• Replying STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message received from Lurk CFB.
• Removing their phone number from the Alerts page in their dashboard.
• Deleting their Lurk CFB account from the Account settings page.

Additional Disclosures

• Message and data rates may apply.
• Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Lurk CFB.
• Phone numbers are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Any reasonable request to revoke SMS consent will be honored.
• SMS messages are delivered via Twilio.
